SUMMARY:Christmas with Music and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Two of Canada’s best-loved singers\, Shannon Mercer and Julie Nesrallah join the Chamber Players of Canada for a very special fundraising concert on December 21st. \nAlso performing in this concert are violinist Marie Bérard\, concertmaster of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra; the phenomenally gifted young violinist Kerson Leong; Chamber Players of Canada and Music and Beyond director Julian Armour; pianist Frédéric Lacroix; harpsichordist Susan Toman; harpist Caroline Léonardelli; the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir; and the Canterbury High School Chamber Choir. All proceeds will go to support Music and Beyond’s young people’s initiatives including helping to bring concerts to schools and hospitals. This concert will feature music of Handel\, Bach\, Berlioz\, Humperdinck\, Rimsky–Korsakov\, Glazunov\, Tchaikovsky\, Pietro Yon and others.
