Favourites that are back for next season include Canto Sentimento String Quartet. “This string quartet accompanies the ‘Tea With’ afternoon that is hugely popular,” says Sansom. “We sell out every year and expect it to be popular again.” For musical lovers, Orpheus puts on three family-friendly musicals and there is an orchestra offering from Ottawa Pops that is a crowd-pleaser. “Ottawa Pops features many younger players,” says Sansom. “Their programs are always fun for the whole family.” The festive season will once again feature The Nutcracker, the Festival of Carols presented by the Salvation Army choir and a holiday concert by the Armed Forces Central Band. There’ll be plenty of music next season on the main stage and in the studio for all tastes. “We’re featuring talented local artists in a number of concerts in the studio, as well as at least one main stage show,” says Sansom. He also says to watch for a band you won’t want to miss. “If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you’re going to love this act,” teases Sansom.
