Anger Management …Especially for Parents

Anger is a common experience for parents – no matter how much you love your children. We’ll look at positive ways to express your anger and practical strategies to manage your children’s behaviour.

Raising a Healthy Eater

Manage the stress of mealtime and discover your role in teaching your child how to eat nutritious foods. Understand typical behaviours and reactions children have around mealtime. Turn mealtime into a healthy, joyful experience (for parents of children 12 months to 3 years).

Raising Your Spirited Child

What is a spirited child? According to author Mary Kurcinka, a spirited child is one who is normal but is more intense, more persistent, more sensitive, more perceptive and more uncomfortable with change than other children. This four-session workshop will look at the characteristics of spiritedness and strategies to enjoy life with your spirited child. Registration required.

Caring For a Sick Baby

Learn from our Registered Nurse what to keep in your medicine cabinet, how to assess, comfort and treat a sick baby and what signs indicate it is time to visit the doctor or hospital. Better to be prepared! Ideal for parents with children 2 years or younger.

Parent and Baby Fitness

New moms can come learn a few tips and tricks to help them get into shape! Use a baby carrier, car seat or your baby (who are old enough to support their heads) and work to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance and flexibility. Bond with your baby and meet other new moms. As your baby grows, it will provide you with more resistance, making your workout more challenging!

Infant Massage

This three-session workshop will allow parents to learn how to massage their baby, which will help improve sleep, bonding, development and more. For infants aged 9 months or under.

Parent and Baby Yoga

Enjoy a fun, relaxing class doing yoga with your baby. Learn some baby massage, as well as some singing, breathing and meditation techniques. You and baby will stretch and balance together in different yoga poses, helping to support your postpartum healing and toning. Another activity will be some circle yoga as a group. The class is open for infants 6 weeks to the creeping stage. Please dress comfortably and bring a blanket and toy for your baby.

Prenatal and Postnatal

Postnatal Exercise

Join us for an effective strength training workout that allows you to bond with your baby. Build strength, tone muscles, regain functional movement, improve your posture and bounce back after childbirth, all while having fun with your baby. Use your baby as resistance and strengthen your back, legs, upper body and core. For mothers or fathers with infants ages 8 weeks to 12 months.
